Current Thoughts: Should I get a Whoop?
Should you get a WHOOP? A Garmin? An Oura Ring?
Maybe. But before you look for more data, ask yourself if you even know which data actually matters.
Showing up to your workout matters more than tracking it.
Cutting processed food matters more than obsessing over your macros.
Getting to bed on time matters more than tracking your sleep stages.
Wearables can help, but they don’t replace action. What they do offer is awareness — and awareness is powerful. It reveals patterns, uncovers blind spots, and if you’re wired for it, gives you that little competitive edge (especially with yourself). If you’re someone who thrives on metrics, it might give you just enough friction to stay consistent.
Just don’t mistake tracking for doing.

| A reminder that this is about more than just how you look. It’s about becoming the best version of yourself. |

| This dude is 60 years old… and still playing padded tackle football. I’m impressed and also worried about his brain health. |

Have a great week!
