Current Thoughts: Our Habits Show and Shape Our Heart
There’s a principle in nutrition that says:
“You don’t eat what you like — you like what you eat.”
It’s the same with exercise. You don’t magically enjoy training out of the gate — you learn to love it through repetition, growth, and results.
Discipline reshapes desire. The truth is: our habits reflect what our heart is really drawn toward. And for many people? That includes laziness, comfort, and convenience.
We love the idea of being healthy, energized, and fit — but we love staying up late, skipping workouts, and eating junk more. What wins out over time is what we repeat.
If you wait to “feel like it,” you never will. Worse — the longer you wait, the more hardened your heart becomes to action at all. You’ll build neural pathways and narratives that feel impossible to break.
Here’s the antidote:
Act before you feel.
Move before you’re ready.
Action begets emotion.

Things to Check out
This woman might be my favorite person on Instagram right now. She’s probably in her 60s or 70s, and all she does is run around and talk smack about people making excuses for not exercising. It’s perfect. Even better? Her IG handle is: @running.like.a.wrinkly Just watch. You’ll get a kick in the pants and a laugh at the same time.

Have a great week!
David
