Play vs Work. This best summarizes the different view between the average child and the average adult. Running, jumping, climbing, throwing, etc are play; an outlet for physical expression and joy. Adults tend to view physical activity as work. Though often times in a negative sense, it can often be seen as “work” even from someone who enjoys it, myself included. I go to the gym to “put in work” and to “accomplish and achieve” specific goals I have.

Things I Like

This New Jersey high school requires their incoming Freshman students to complete a 55 Mile Hike. I love it! High standards, high support.

Things to Check Out

This Sherpa survived 5 days on Everest without food, water, or oxygen. What’s even crazier is he wasn’t a guide, he was the camp cook!
