Current Thoughts: Do something big this year.
You’re unlikely to look back on your life and reflect gladly on that big TV you bought and how you watched those football games on it. I, for one, can barely remember the football games I played in much less the ones I watched. Those memories just don’t last and they’re not very cool to tell your grandkids.
Adventures are what you will reflect on with gladness and get to relive every time you retell the story. Pick an adventure this year. Put your money down and do it with a group of people. Solidify it on your calendar through skin in the game (or preferably money in place of skin) and social pressure.
Do something that makes you a little nervous, something that makes your heart beat a little faster and something that you pushes slightly outside of your comfort. Go and live more fully!

Things I Like: Riding the bike backwards for bad knees
When I was powerlifting, my knees were in pain all the time. I’d have to warm up for 30 min every time I wanted to squat and just suffer through going up stairs. I even went to the doctor to get them checked out. Turns out I was just stiff. I have a whole protocol of things I’ve done to make my knees feel young and healthy again and one of the simplest ones I use for myself and others is riding the echo bike backwards. Give it a shot the next time you’re warming up and doing a workout and see if it helps your knees feel better too.
Things To Check Out: Peter Attia Discussing the Complexities of Health Care in America

Almost 20% of our total government spending goes towards health care. That’s going to get much worse as baby boomers continue to age, our societal health declines, and birth rates decrease. This is a problem we are going to have to solve and this podcast will help give you some better information to have educated discussions.
I hope you have an amazing week!
David
