COVID-19 Reopening Plan

As of May 4th, we will be reopening and following the guidelines outlined by the Back to Business Framework for Memphis and Shelby County. Below we have listed what we will be doing as well as the expectations for our members. We are not currently offering any day, week, or month passes however we are accepting new members. If you have any questions, please email us at management@nbsfitness-net.

What measures will NBS take to ensure a sanitary space?

  • We contract a professional cleaning company, and they will be deep cleaning the facility each night.
  • On top of their daily cleaning duties, our front desk staff will have an enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocol, including:
    • Hourly sanitation of doors, bathrooms, trash cans and common spaces.
    • 4x an hour staff will clean and sanitize gym equipment.
    • Floors will be sanitized throughout the day.
  • All NBS staff will wear face masks.
  • Bay doors and fans will be on to allow for maximum flow of air.
  • Due to the Phase 1 Occupancy Limits, there will be a limit of 25 members in the gym each hour.
  • To help the gym abide by city Occupancy LImits, members must sign up for a time slot before attending the gym (more below).

What are your responsibilities upon returning?

  • For your safety, the following cleaning initiatives will be put in place for all members. It is mandatory to adhere to the below standards.
    • Wash hands upon entering the gym
    • Clean all equipment with wipes or disinfectant spray after each use. Including: handles, plates, collars, bench, seats, or any other place the member has touched
    • Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times
    • Clean any area where you have placed your gym items with wipes or disinfectant spray before leaving. Including: locker, floor, cubbies, wall, etc.
    • No guests or children will be allowed to enter the facility.
    • If you don’t feel well, please stay home.
  • Maintain a safe distance of at least 6ft between other members when selecting equipment for your workout and putting equipment away.
  • To abide by city Phase 1 guidelines, you will sign up for the time slot you plan on attending. There will be 25 spots available for each hour of the day.
  • You may sign up for your time slot as early as 24 hours in advance.
  • To ensure as many members are allowed to train as possible, you may sign up to train for one hour each day.
  • If you forget to sign up ahead of time, you can stop by the gym without signing up for a timeslot to see if there are available spots.  If there are available spots during that hour, you will be allowed to enter and train. *It is not guaranteed that there will be available spots without reserving your spot ahead of time**
  • We understand things come up, but we want to ensure as many members are able to train that want to.  If you continue to sign up for time slots and No Show without calling or cancelling online, your signup privileges will be revoked until we move to Phase 2 and have a higher occupancy limit.
